More than 600 dermatologists from over 60 countries came to the Prague Hilton in November 2016 to discuss new ideas for the future in aesthetic medicine. The two-day agenda included, among other things, interactive lectures by renowned aesthetic dermatologists, panel discussions and audience discussions on the trends and scientific developments in aesthetic medicine, as well as live treatments, which were shown after extensive theoretical explanations. There were many challenges to overcome, particularly in terms of the live treatments, as both a broadcast via streaming from a clinic into the hotel as well as a live one on site were planned, so that both alternatives had to be available. Only one of the many challenges that arise at short notice during the implementation of such an enormous project as the MEXS.
Elaborate planning, perfect technical implementation, successful advisory board meeting
Over nine months of preparation time, two on-site meetings in the Czech capital, four 40-ton articulated lorries and 85 employees from GAHRENS + BATTERMANN were needed to make the MEXS 2016 in Prague what it ultimately was: a top event, in which all challenges and requirements were met. From the stage construction, for which among other things the ATOMIC Panels were used (which GAHRENS + BATTERMAN supply as the exclusive German partner of the US company), through the lighting, audio, video, production control and interpreting technology, to the integration of the G+B interactive tool "EVENT VOTE", which allows, among other things, live voting or feedback to the speakers by the participants, together with the interpreting and hostess selection, the directional guidance or the branding - everything had to be planned exactly, and implemented perfectly on site. And the whole thing in the space of just eight days. An awesome performance, which was acknowledged by Dr. Rainer Pooth, Global Head of Scientific Affairs and Key Opinion Leader in Management at Merz Pharmaceuticals GmbH: "The MEXS 2016 was a great success! We had excellent internal and external feedback from all continents. Looking forward to working with you again in the future."
