G+B at the Locations Fair Rhine Ruhr

As part of the partnership, GAHRENS + BATTERMANN is supporting each of the regional trade fairs with the event technology for the Main Stage and the Best Practice Forum. In addition, the G+B team takes care of the complete conceptual design, planning, set-up and dismantling as well as the technical support of the two stages during the events. With the modular deco system from ATOMIC, the event experts transform the main stage into an eye-catcher time and again, earning praise from organizers and visitors alike.

Right next to the Best Practice Forum, the G+B team welcomed trade visitors to LOCATIONS. At the event service provider’s booth, they were able to get to know the services related to event concepts and event technology in casual conversations, discover the software solutions of G+B Interactive® and take a live look at the modular deco construction system of ATOMIC. Furthermore, Dennis Dippel, Head of Location Partnerships, presented the supporting services for event locations, hotels and convention centers. The G+B team was delighted to have interesting discussions and make new contacts. “The direct and cordial exchange with trade visitors in a relaxed and creative atmosphere is what makes LOCATIONS so special,” says Dennis Dippel. “We are pleased to be able to accompany all trade fairs in 2019 and thus the various regions as part of the partnership with LOCATIONS. We are particularly excited about the new LOCATIONS in Munich, which will take place in the Bavarian capital for the first time on December 4.”

The provision of and compliance with safety concepts plays an important role for event organizers and also for location operators, as both parties can be held liable in the event of an emergency. As a master craftsman for event technology, Tobias Wendeler is very familiar with this topic and is happy to pass on his expert knowledge. In his day-to-day work, for example, he provides G+B customers with advice on risk assessment and safety concepts, and offers a master check-up and master acceptance for event venues as part of the G+B Location Partnerships. LOCATIONS visitors were also able to pick up expert tips from him. In his Pecha Kucha presentation “Safety in Location Management – Law and Practice”, he summarized the legal texts in an entertaining way and explained the most important points using tangible examples.

Annalena Walden, who started her training as an event manager at the G+B branch in Düsseldorf on August 1, 2019, experienced a very special day at LOCATIONS Rhein-Ruhr. “LOCATIONS was not my first trade fair that I was able to visit with G+B, however, I was incredibly impressed by the diversity of the booths. It is fascinating how much thought each exhibitor puts into presenting their company as well as possible. Even our G+B booth with the illuminated ATOMIC modules looked just great,” said Annalena Walden. “The supavent GmbH flight simulator was particularly exciting. I hadn’t had any previous contact with VR goggles or simulators, so I found it all the more exciting. It really felt real, as if I were flying through the area. But the other stands also had a lot to offer,” continues the trainee, who is certain that LOCATIONS is definitely worth a visit.

With LOCATIONS Rhein-Main, the next event is already in the starting blocks. On November 5, meeting planners, event organizers, marketing experts and office managers as well as managing directors from agencies and companies are cordially invited to Hall 45 in Mainz to get to know the regional location landscape and event service providers in the Rhine-Main region better.
