Merz Expert Summit 2023

Courage. Commitment. Collaboration. Confidence – Topics of the Expert Summit 2023

Doctors from all over the world met again this year at the Expert Summit in Barcelona to exchange scientific information. With more than 450 participants, the congress was more than well attended.

Once again, G+B supported the Merz Expert Summit as a technical partner.

With our 360° camera, we were able to digitize all the rooms during an initial site inspection and thus create a virtual tour. Further technical site inspections were therefore no longer necessary, as the customer was able to view the location on their own PC at any time and take a virtual tour of the premises. Thanks to a detailed rendering of the stage, our client was able to visit the event in advance within the 3D tour.

In addition to the concept development, our team was also responsible as general contractor for the entire implementation of sound, lighting, video, direction, trucking and stand construction on site. This included two 12m x 4.5m LED walls in the video area, over 140 spotlights, sufficient shettered modules from ATOMIC and stage construction with our trade fair construction partner Art und Weise. Several rehearsal rooms, PowerPoint acceptance points and breakout sessions were supervised by us over the weekend.

In addition to a spectacular stage design and many other technical highlights, we are particularly pleased that the Expert Summit has chosen G+B as its event technology specialist for the 13th time.

Our G+B team has managed to inspire people, including our customers:

“Once again, it was impressive to see how, despite a large team and changing requirements, one wheel meshes with another at G+B – and delivers to the minute (or second)”

Rendering

But what actually is a rendering

Unser Team arbeitet mit einer CAD basierten Lichtplanungs- , Visualisierungs- und Pre-Programming-Software, die aus den vorliegenden Ideen der Kunden und unseres Teams ein fertiges 3D Bild berechnet.

Our team works with CAD-based lighting design, visualization and pre-programming software, which calculates a finished 3D image from the ideas provided by the customer and our team.

With our pre-produced rendering, we were therefore able to respond perfectly to the customer’s detailed wishes and offer them a picture of their event in advance.

A direct comparison shows particularly well how close the rendering comes to the later realization, here the rendering on the left and a photo of the event location on the right.
