GAHRENS + BATTERMANN LIEFERT BEI DEN NIBELUNGEN-FESTSPIELEN PROJEKTIONSTECHNIK FÜR EIN AUFWENDIGES VIDEO-MAPPING AUF WORMSER KAISERDOM

Since 2002, the Nibelungen Festival has been staged in ever new interpretations at the original setting of the Nibelungenlied in front of Worms’ historic imperial cathedral and is one of Germany’s best-known open-air theater festivals. Under the direction of artistic director Nico Hofmann and artistic director Thomas Laue, “Siegfried’s Heirs” was performed on 16 evenings from July 20 to August 5. GAHRENS + BATTERMANN was responsible for the technical realization of the impressive video installation on the Kaiserdom.

The technical equipment of trade fairs, congresses and corporate events is on the agenda at GAHRENS + BATTERMANN. For this reason, Moritz Poensgen, Project Manager and Branch Manager GAHRENS + BATTERMANN Düsseldorf, emphasized the special nature of this order:

The Nibelungen Festival is a special cultural event and enjoys a high level of attention. To support the creative video projection here was an exciting challenge and honor at the same time.

The staging of the video mapping by means of six latest-generation laser projectors transformed the backdrop of the imperial cathedral in Worms into a lively stage attraction and thrilled the approximately 1285 visitors in the grandstand seats every evening. This year’s ensemble included Hollywood star Jürgen Prochnow and the Austrian Ursula Strauss. The actress portraying Brunhild, the lady of the castle, was awarded the Mario Adorf Prize for exceptional artistic achievement, which was presented for the first time this season.
