THE 2017 GENEVA INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW: ŠKODA RELIES ONCE AGAIN ON THE TECHNOLOGY OF GAHRENS + BATTERMANN

A large number of trade exhibitors and visitors came together at the annual Geneva Motor Show from March 9-19, 2017. The event is one of the world's most important automotive trade fairs and has attracted the most important players in the automotive sector, and their innovations, since 1905. ŠKODA once again counted on the media-technical equipment of GAHRENS + BATTERMANN for the presentation of its fair stand.

After successful collaboration in the last two years, the team led by project manager Moritz Poensgen proved to be a reliable partner again this year. For the technical staging of the fair stand, the Absen A3 main LED display wall was enlarged to 10 x 5.5 metres, which enabled a 2.5K playback of the content on a surface area of 55m2. The LED setup was complemented by four additional Absen A3 LED steles with a size of 1.5 m x 5.5 m each. These were put into place free-standing in the space with the aid of a special design and at an installation depth of just 30 cm. The feed of 2.5K single image sequences with 50 images per second was created using Pandoras Box and also the Ross FloorDirector was employed once again, which was purchased two years ago for ŠKODA among others and makes possible comprehensive 1080p processing.

A special technical highlight was the use of the brand spanking new Event Processor Barco E2, which sets new standards in the area of live screen management thanks to a number of benefits. The Barco E2 has been in GAHRENS+ BATTERMANN's rental stock since January 2017 and was used to its full extent for the first time on the ŠKODA stand.

The GAHRENS + BATTERMANN team contributed once again this year to the success of the ŠKODA stand at the Geneva Motor Show with precise planning and outstanding implementation.

We are extremely pleased that ŠKODA as a client, becc agency GmbH as an agency and rgb GmbH as a planning office would like to draw on our expertise in the field of media technology over the next two years as well. The 2017 Geneva Motor Show has shown that the use of a constant team and proven technology, combined with the lessons learned over the last two years, leads to an impressive and stress-free outcome.
