G+B Frankfurt branch manager Artur Frantz and his team had installed many products from all subject areas of event technology in the newly opened "Percuma" - a location which was particularly set up for conferences and events. In direct discussions, the media specialist from G+B then introduced the visitors of the event to the secrets of the individual devices and applications.
The range of technology that was set up was as wide-ranging as the equipment in the rental park of the full-service provider. The stage and location elements of ATOMIC Rental Solutions, which had just been launched in Germany and were exclusively available from G+B, made their grand entrance. The different modules provided effective room equipment in combination with light applications. Visitors also had the exciting opportunity to find about the Pandoras Box media server, which controls media in real-time, and the presentation of various LED elements, which allowed guests to obtain a direct, clearly visible comparison of the different products. The visitors could get "hands on" with the digital workshop method SPACE CAFÉ®, which G+B developed in-house, and the transparent OLED touch display.
"In the audio technology area, we wanted to give the guests the opportunity to experience different speaker products in a direct audio comparison", reports Florenz Meier, G+B project leader of the event. A speaker exhibition was therefore installed which made many different auditory events come to life. There was also a more-easily comprehensible event for "non-techies".
Without a doubt, the absolute hit in the wide variety of technology over the two days of the event was the Virtual and Augmented Reality area- the visualisations and tools of G+B Interactive. The visitors did not go hunting "Pokemon Go" monsters. However, they did take the opportunity to experience and immerse themselves in virtual worlds and digital displays. The introduction of interactive software solutions such as Sales Presenter, Topicwall, Teamplay and a Q&A app that can be used for events, congresses or trade fairs rounded off the interactive area of the event.
"Our approach of making complex technical elements come alive and in a comprehensible way for our customers on the basis of a "Secrets of Events Technology" event worked perfectly. We had an unbelievable amount of positive feedback and interest in the event. Particularly the opportunity to try out the topic of "Virtual Reality" that is currently red-hot in the media was received extremely well, reports Artur Franz.
