G+B presented their new icoms Conference Management System

On 18th and 19th January 2012 the Best of Events international trade fair for events services and live marketing opened its doors to visitors. Once again Gahrens + Battermann had a stand at the 2012 exhibition, held in Dortmund's Westfalenhallen: on show for the first time in Hall 4 at Stand D14 was the new icoms Conference Management System.

icoms: Management System for conference organisers
Gahrens + Battermann has developed icoms as a tool to ensure the smooth running of conferences. The modular system provides solutions for every part of a conference – from the planning phase to on-site support, through to the follow-up. icoms combines traditional AV technology with new media – be it visitor registration, creating a conference homepage with the appropriate app for smartphones, or presentation management systems.

G+B i-nteraktiv® with new developments
Following the launch of G+B i-nteraktiv® in 2010, Gahrens + Battermann is on track for success. Participants in an event can use an iPad or iPod to vote, ask questions, request background information on the event, have lectures or product information sent to them directly by email, and lots more. Last year further work was carried out on developing new features for G+B i-nteraktiv®. 

First frameless display in Full HD
Besides the in-house developments G+B i-nteraktiv® and icoms, visitors to the Gahrens + Battermann stand were able to experience the new 55 inch displays in the rental fleet. The innovative displays with LED background lighting are the first frameless displays in HD native resolution.

The G+B 2012 Catalogue also appeared in time for Best of Events: under the motto "Noticeably more than technology" with a fresh new look.
